Students can earn tickets for good behavior. They can exchange 20 tickets for a coupon. There are a variety of coupons that they can trade in for, like Teacher's Chair, Switch Seats for the Day, Extra Computer Time, Stinky Feet, or No Homework Passes.
Something additional that I do in my classroom to help manage behavior and reinforce positive behavior is the use of Class Dojo. Watch the video below for more information about Class Dojo. It is very interactive and parents can use it to view their child's behavior daily as well. (Just another reason why providing me with your email keeps you involved!) Be sure to check out the video below, although it's geared towards students, it provides the basics.
Here is also a video of what other parents think of ClassDojo:
More information on how to join ClassDojo to see how your child is doing during the school day will come home the first week of school. Be sure to look for the invitation with the special parent and student codes. Students can have their own accounts too! I hope this will allow them to reflect on their behavior, as well as interact with their monster/avatar.
